Description

A delightful and visually striking dessert filled with rich dark chocolate and topped with a whimsical spiderweb design, perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made chocolate tart shell
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 50g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • White chocolate (for web decoration)
  • Edible chocolate spiders

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the tart shell instructions.
  2. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the dark chocolate until melted and smooth.
  3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. Pour the chocolate mixture into the pre-made tart shell.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes or until set.
  5. Melt the white chocolate and use it to create a spiderweb design on top of the tart.
  6. Garnish with edible chocolate spiders before serving.

Notes

Make sure to simmer the cream gently and avoid boiling. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a shinier finish, consider glazing with melted dark chocolate.
