- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 pack (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange food coloring
- 1 tablespoon black food coloring
- Sprinkles for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
- Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Then, dollop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl it gently with a knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool completely.
- Divide the icing into two bowls. Color one with orange food coloring and the other with black.
- Drizzle the orange and black icing over the brownies in a fun Halloween pattern. Add sprinkles if desired.
